Thumbs up What did you do to your iA today?

Share what you did today with the Scion iA / Yaris iA community!

Example: I took her out of the garage and gave her a nice bath and followed up with a coat of wax.

Example: Finally got my window tints done, now I can't open my windows for a week

Example: Got new tires installed, now I am itching to take her out for a quick spin.

Anything goes....

I drove through 2 tanks of gas and regretted not buying a truck when my lack of ground clearance, weight, and 4 wheel drive got me stuck again

Today I installed a Mazda2 hood liner and LED Upgrade Kit purchased from a dealership in the UK. I purchased the fasteners from a Mazda OEM distributor online here in the US. Expensive yes...worth it for me though for the "complete" look under the hood and to brighten up the interior without having to cut anything. I am a purist for OEM parts, I know they are more expensive I just feel better knowing they were designed explicitly for the vehicles and have a 1 year warranty.

I haven't been out to test it yet, I'm going to listen to it tonight. At idle I didn't notice too much but I will post back this evening.

About to drive 150 miles down to Louisville, aside from the monotony, it's not a bad drive at night. I like road trips, plus it's to see my girlfriend.

Unlike some people here, I'm enjoying my iA, I like the lightness, I like the engine noise (going to remove the muffler one of these days so I can hear it more) and the interior, it's a nice little home base for long drives. I'm use to unkempt beaters from the 90s so this is quite a change. It feels like a throwback, it makes me think of a 1963 Ford Falcon except more modern, I know that sounds kinda crazy, but it's a taught little sporty sedan that doesn't have too much more than what it needs and a lovely interior.

I watched my iA roll into the middle of a (thankfully) almost empty parking lot when my parking brake cable snapped while I was working... didn't hit anything but if we were busy and it did hit something I'd be complaining to Toyota a bit more than I already am. Parking it in gear from now on (even though it's not good for the trans) and I recommend you do he same because who knows how common this peoblem will prove to be (at 9,928 miles/production date 05/16)

Check out the ecoboost explorer too. I can imagine that Tahoe will be pricey. Explorer is a twin turbo v6 21hwy 365hp . Imagine putting aftermarket wastegates on that vrroooom pssshhh. I've always had v8s and I always wanted a twin turbo lol. But the ia is cool for what it is I enjoy it. I wish the dealers were more competent. Most of them don't even know it's a mazda
