So if anyone is considering a cold air or aftermarket intake from the 2.0L skyactiv engine, they will NOT fit on the 1.5L in our cars. The intake manifold opening is smaller, and the MAF sensor is shaped different as well. I thought they looked similar enough, but confirmed with the corksport folks that they are indeed different enough to not be compatible.

So what options do we have for aftermarket intakes?

At this point it's tough to say since it will take a lot of searching around for something that comes close or right on point to what we'll need.

But with the interest going on with these, you might as well wait for an aftermarket parts maker to come out with one.

Corksport said they don't have anything in the works, but that was mainly due to a lack of interest. Drop them a line if you're interested. There are also a handful of other shops that specialize in Mazda performance parts who might be interested in making one.
