I bought SD card from Amazon (part # PTMZD-1M160) for $65 and as soon as you insert it to the SD port, it activates the factory navigation in our cars (leave SD inserted). No steps to follow, no set up or anything, just insert the SD and 20 seconds later your factory navigation starts working.

I have to say, it's not the best navigation out there (Google Maps or Waze are a LOT better), but it helps to drive around town to read street names and exit numbers on the hwy. You could use it to navigate too, but liek I said, Google maps is 100 times better.

I'd say for the price, it's kind of cool to have the navigation screen to help you with your driving. I wish we had Android Auto, but of course Mazda has been dropping the ball for the last 3 years and hasn't started anything yet. Is there a way to flash Android Auto without voiding our warranties?

Factory navigation sucks but $65 is a good deal. I paid $90 just to see the map on the screen. I rarely use it.

Mazda just made an announcement that the 2018 Mazda6 will feature Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. In addition, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be available as a Genuine Mazda Accessory retrofit for MAZDA CONNECT systems starting this fall. So I would suggest waiting a bit to see if the rumored retrofit works on the iA.

I installed Android Auto and screen mirroring to the infotainment like a month ago. It works like a charm! All you need is a USB drive(you'll only need it one time to load files into the infotainment) and obviously to install Android Auto on your phone. FYI for you iPhone users: There's no hack for Apple CarPlay...

Go to www.mazdatweaks.com for complete instructions on how to do this super easy mod. I was done within 30 mins.

Can you post a screenshot of your selected tweaks in the MZD-AIO app? Thanks!
I don't have a way to send you a screenshot because I used someone else's laptop, but it's pretty self explanatory. It will give you like maybe 25 different hacks you can install (click on green left square to install and select options on the right hand side, for example if you're changing background and such).

Out of the 25, I only clicked on the green box maybe on 6 or 7, so leave all the other ones untouched (both gray boxed unclicked).

If you're installing Android Auto on a newer Samsung device (I have a Note 8 for example) you must click on the checkbox to select 1.09 beta update (it explains there that is for the Android Auto to work correctly). I wish I could help more, but like I said, it's pretty self explanatory.
