So I know it is obviously not summer but I do live in south Georgia and if rarely gets in the thirties here. It does however get in the 90s and 100s quite often which I have found makes the screen on the dash get extremely hot. It has actually started to crack in the bottom corners on the inside. I use a sun protector in the window but that doesn't really help; that just keeps it directly out of the sun. Was just wondering if anyone on here has had the same problem and maybe come up with a solution because the only thing I've really seen is like a visor to clip to it to keep the glare off (which won't do diddly squat).

the windshield acts like the lid on a boiling pot.
the visor thingy sounds good. block direct sunlight heat input; leaving only the "everything else being really hot" part to take care of.
