Hello everyone

My sister is a new owner of a 2017 Toyota Yaris iA, she is loving the car.

I replaced the trunk light, license plate lights, and map lights with leds, they all work fine and look great but the map (dome) lights do not fully turn off after the car is off, there is a faint glow. All the other leds fully turn off.

We have left the faint glow overnight before and it didn't seem to drain the battery, is it safe to just leave it? Or should I switch it back to the tube ones?

I replaced mine with red led strips but have not had that issue. For you to have slight light tells me there is power still active for some reason. With reversed polarity it will only cause the led to not illuminate at all so that seems to not be a likely cause though u could still try reversing it to make sure that isn't the cause. I am assuming you have the actual power switched off on the light switch correct? That would mean maybe an issue in the switch allowing some power to jump through...
