Hi,
I'm a car newbie here. I currently am having an issue with a bunch of sounds coming from my car. After only a week of driving it for commuting I racked up around 700 miles on it(I commute about 58 miles 1 way and 116 per day). The car got a flat going into a gas station and I literally just turned into a parking space. I put on the spare and drove about 5minutes to my apartment. I had to order a new tire from Scion(4miles away) and pick it up the next day as nobody anywhere had this new tire around. I had them throw it on the wheel/rim thing and I jacked up my car and put the wheel back on with a torque wrench at 100.

After, I started hearing various sounds. I heard a scraping and a grinding sound. The grinding was similar to the normal sounds of a PCs clicking. The scraping was in rotations and slowed as I drove slow, so I assumed it was the wheel. Each of the sounds got loud.

I took the wheel off and slightly(not much) pushed back the dust shield(? it was behind the rotar brake area?) I felt around and tried to see if it was rocks or something around there jammed inside and found nothing. I put the wheel back on at 108 torque and drove it for about an hour and noticed the sounds were gone.

2 days later, I drove it for about an hour and noticed the scraping sound scraped just once. A quick scrape and that was that. Then a new sound started. It was like a squeeking/screeching mixed with a mmmm sound. It wasn't that loud like the others but I don't think I should be having that sound either. It did it right as I left my apartment for about 10-15minutes until I hit the freeway and then went away from what I could tell. Then did it again after I got off the freeway. From what I could tell, all the sounds I have heard happen regardless of turning/braking.

Anybody have any insight as what this could be before I have to bring my car into the dealership and have them check it? I currently don't have much free time due to work and being short staffed atm. If I can't pinpoint this problem and fix it myself, I might end up needing to somehow find time to bring it in, but until then, I will be keeping an eye(or ear) on these sounds.

Also, a bit off but I have heard a little small flapping? sound from my engine I think. Is that the radiator fan thingy? This doesn't sound like an issue though like the others. Anyone else hear theirs? Is it normal?

Thanks a lot for any input and help!

*Solved?*

I was gonna update earlier but I wanted to drive on it a bit to make sure the sounds were gone before I did.

I brought it to Scion and after about an hour they couldn't figure out the problem. They said nothing was bent or rubbing but they could clearly hear it as well. They eventually concluded that the wheel probably wasn't on right. They switched the front left and right wheels with no charge and I've been driving on it fine for a few days now without anything out of the ordinary. Just had to repush the TPMS button a couple times as it re-lit up after a bit of driving the first day. That hasn't turned back on since. I'll post again if anything pops back up related to this.

Everything seems fine now.

Also, I'd put an edit on the top or title but can't find an edit option now but this post seems to be able to =/ oh well. Maybe disappears after a while.
