Is anyone using the flexible oil monitoring system? How many miles do you get between changes? What do you do about other scheduled maintenance? I have never used anything like this and I am having a hard time trusting it.

I'm more fond of going by the usual increments and of course checking myself. Someone who drives their car really hard usually will have different oil life spans than someone who barely drives in general.

Synthetic typically last 10k or 15k miles but usually the filter goes bad before then. Mazda/Scion iA manual states to change oil every 7.5k or 6 months. Unless if you're doing rally driving, the 0W-20 oil should be perfectly fine for those intervals.

15k miles is 24k kms... That's a darn long time. I remember when I had my FRS running 0w20, I would change it every 8000km, so just under 5k miles ?

Lol funny story about it, Driving to go to a car meet, ended up getting cut off by someone, tried to swerve out of the way, car spun out, hit the guardrail on the left side and slid back across to the guard rail on the right side. I'll post some pictures on it when I get home, real ugly haha
