I understand from the owner's manual that the subject indicator, a wrench, lets an owner know that a scheduled maintenance has arrived or will arrive soon. However, I have but a little over 1,000 miles on the car. What in blue blazes would need maintenance so early in the life of the car? According to said owner's manual, the first scheduled maintenance isn't due until 7,500 miles.

It's possible that someone incorrectly entered the maintenance mileage in the vehicle settings. If that is the case, you can just reset it.
