The Scion iA is fun to drive and its Mazda2 forefather shines through in jstu the right ways. Those are a few of the reasons Left Lane News has given as it has placed the Scion iA on its list of "10 New Cars You Should Drive in 2016".

"Wheeling the iA displayed a ride quality that was very well composed with good road feel that communicated conditions with us very easily. The surroundings were very Mazda-ish and included a center console multimedia controller that looks like it belongs in one of those Zoom-Zoom cars."

Why you should drive it: Scion's bread-and-butter cars have never been particularly fun to drive. Aside from the tC and FR-S, everything has been fairly lukewarm. The iA is the notable and appreciable exception. Check it out.

I bet it will be one of those compacts that gets far more testing time than others, especially by the younger demographic. Most of the competition is just boring and lacks life. However Chevy does have a good product, the Spark which wins on price, but that it's. iA is a well rounded package.
Chevy is a little boring but at the same time they look to be moving in the right direction in terms of making their products more interesting. Look at the Bolt and Volt, although they don't have quite the same interest when it comes to petrol powered vehicles.
Chevy did revive the Spark and it seems to have lost weight, which helps in making it fun and agile. With the way its setup now, it'll have better luck than it successor. Excited to see how things will unfold for it.
There are other offerings but the iA does check a lot of boxes that others do not, and that is despite it having very few options and really just offering one type of stock and standard model.

Well the difference is with the few options to CHOOSE from is that it's basically a 'fully loaded' model, everything the industry could and should possibly offer you is already included.
Going forward do you guys think the iA, once under Toyota will have a growing amount of things to choose from down the road we step into new model year? If so, what things do you guys want to see?
Not saying they would, but I think they should stick with the single trim format because that is what the iA is now known for. Not sure how receptive ppl will be if they now have to pay extra for everything even if the base price is reduced because of it.
I doubt they will stick with the single trim format. People will see it as limiting when they compare it to other Toyota offerings. Within Scion it could be seen as a brand thing, but just one model makes it seem like an annoyance.
Yep, and I would almost guarantee a similarly equipped Toyota version of this car will be more expensive. People weren't willing to pay a premium for the scion brand, but they sure as **** will for Toyota.

Yep, Once it becomes Toyota folks will pay more for it. I am wondering if it will be called the Yaris as the offering overseas is today:eek:

Either way I am stoked to have this vehicle, its perfect for me
Scion's should've been bought up by more people. Scion shouldn't of needed ta fold. Americans are too addicted ta fatty hamburgers and pickup trucks and Taylor Swift.
The old Scions were really not great and the new ones seem like they were dead on arrival. No matter how well they sold i think that Scion had it's writing on the wall.
Only one I liked was the xB since it was quite unique when it came out. Japan got a ton of cube vehicles like it and that was the only one we got, a true Japanese styled vehicle.
