Just curious to see what vehicle everyone is coming from or have owned in the past.

I never really stated it in my intro so here it is.
2005 Toyota Rav 4: this one was stolen for some odd reason and they left the nice cars around me untouched including a beemer.

Immediately before buying the iA, I was driving a 1994 Toyota Camry. It was my wife's high school car, and her dad's commuter car before that, which eventually became my commuter car once we moved to where I couldn't walk to work any more. I really liked it for what it was: basic transportation, and that 1MZ-FE V6 ran fantastically for well over 200k miles without any issues. I gave it up for the iA because driving a car with so many miles you're always in the shop for something minor or patching rust, and I wanted something I didn't have to worry about. Other vehicles I've owned:

if your mazdas were stick shift did they make a noise when letting out the clutch?

The 2 replaced a 1993 Toyota Hilux 4x4 Double Cab (known in the USA as the Toyota Truck I think) as the daily driver. The Hilux is still around to haul stuff and go off road. I also have my project XK8. Other cars I've had (no longer have them): 69 VW Beetle, 68 Ford Escort, 67 Triumph Spitfire, 85 Toyota MR2 & 87 Toyota MR2.

Wife and I drive Pontiac Vibe's

My wife drives a 2008 Pontiac Vibe and I drive 2004. Both are low mileage and in perfect condition. I am thinking about buying my wife a new white iA if she wants one after driving it. It should last her for the rest of her life. We can't wait to take one for a test drive. We drove to the dealers yesterday but they were closed.
