What is welcome home light and leaving home light?

Leaving Home turns on your lights when you unlock the car with the remote.

Coming Home turns the lights off for you after a time, when you turn off the car.

Both of these require you leave the lights turned on.

Turned on in the auto position I presume ?

I thought the car just had on, parking lights, and off, no auto. If you leave it set to on then the coming and leaving home lights will work. I keep mine set to on because I am used to having auto headlights, this is my first car that hasn't had them
