Did you drive it in the snow if so... Did you use stock tires? Chains??? Looking forward to snowboarding this window... I'm hesitant on driving this ia..

I'm about to hit 28k i had it for 1 year and 6 months get around 31. Mpg drove to lake Tahoe 2 times from L.A. and to the mts. 2 times to big bear
Running well at 56k. You need to drain and fill Manual transmission at about 50k. do not forget. Don't let them charge you for an automatic flush. I think the automatic goes further but I am not sure.

I have not been to much snow as a live in phoenix and have 195/50/16's summer performance tires on stock rims. No snow in phoenix but with the right tires and front will drive is should do well. Easy to push our of snow bank because the car is so light. Not sure how light cars do in snow but my 1980 civic sure did well off road. At 62k now.

I Struts

67000 now. So far I've replaced:
-Engine splash shield (a ladder flew off a truck on the highway and no way to avoid it! Lucky that was the only damage)
-Right front strut mount
-Tires
-Wiper blades
-Engine air filter

Hey Dan I have a weird creek or knock at low speed and think it is a strut mount or engine mount. Is the strut mount covered under factory warranty because I am at 62k and need to start begging for help.

Replying to my own previous post- having just finalized my order for my 2019 Yaris, I found that my Toyota dealership* sells them with a "lifetime Powertrain Warranty". That should hep the end game years :)

100k miles so far. I was doing about 30k a year pre covid, but my mileage has gone down about half since then. Purchased new on January 1 2017. Battery failed pretty early on (30k) but replaced with Costco battery and has been good since. Needed 3 tire changes, and new front brakes. The rear brake drums suck. Switched to Falken Sincera Sn250 from the factory Proxes. Other than that it has been a great car to me and I plan on driving it until it gets totaled.
